Quick facts:
- Distillerie Vrignaud was founded by Henri-Aimé Vrignaud in 1812. His son Henri Jean Baptiste Vrignaud established the house’s reputation for quality.
- In the 19th century, Lucon, where the distillery was founded, was a thriving port where many exotic fruits, plants, and spices were unloaded–the perfect place to make aromatized wines and liqueurs.
- When the Mourat family had the opportunity to take on an iconic distillery, which they considered part of the cultural heritage of their region, they leapt at the chance. They’re bringing it into the twenty-first century while respecting the traditions and identity that made the brand renowned.
- The vermouths are made with infusions from both fresh and dried herbs, spices, and fruit.
