The Paul-Marie line is selected by PM Spirits founder Nicolas Palazzi, himself born in Bordeaux, sometimes known as the “Pope of Pineau.” Nicolas’ close relationships with artisanal producers throughout Charentes allow him to acquire the ultimate casks to bottle and import under his own label, Paul-Marie & Fils, which is named for his late father. Each cask is tasted multiple times to ensure quality and purchased on the spot for provenance. Each bottling is extremely limited, released as single casks, one cask at a time, with each bottle numbered by hand. The Paul-Marie line of Pineau des Charentes offers a unique look at the underdog spirit, with the richness and rarity of fine port, and the brightness and acidity of Alpine dessert wines.
